Why this blog?

The purpose of this blog is simple: to express my perspective on matters of theology, politics and culture through the objective paradigm of the Word of God.

In doing so, I endeavor to respectfully challenge others to think biblically about the world around them in the context of the precepts, principles and guidelines by which God, the Creator of all that exists (John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-17), has divinely ordained you and me to live in this world.

Which is why I titled the blog ‘Just Thinking…for Myself’.

Regardless the topic, subject matter, or question of life, the Bible provides the wisdom we all need to address those issues in a manner that is both beneficial to us and glorifying to God.

I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to visit my blog, and I pray you found it worth your while even if you happen to disagree with the opinions expressed herein.

  1. You hooked me when I read “How ‘Woke Theology’ is Weakening the Black Church.” I’ve held this view for a while and you articulated that view perfectly. Thank you. Now I pray that the black church will begin to make a paradigm shift.

  2. Not sure I first heard you on Rappapot Report or The B.A.R., but you and Virgil Walker aka Omaha have become one of my ‘ I have to listen’ podcast.’ You guys discuss topics I’ve been discussing to myself for along time. Refreshing and encouraging to have someone else join me.

I read one of your articles for the first time today on “The Broken Road of the Social Gospel” on Blackcommunitynews.com and to say the least, it was very eye opening! Not just the clarity of the argument but the self-revelation of how I’ve not noticed things going on in my own community. I want to thank you for your hard work and devotion to the Word and look forward to expanding my understanding from more of you words, Thank You!
